Asked Questions
Twelve questions that cover almost every first phone call. If yours is not here, call +1 (602) 555-0148 — a person answers it.
Do I need an appointment?
For diagnostics and scheduled maintenance, yes — it lets us put the right technician and the lift time aside. For tyre repairs, bulb changes and quick checks you can usually drop in, but a call first saves you waiting.
Will I know the price before you start?
Always. Every job gets a written estimate first: parts, labour and the likely extras. Nothing is started until you approve it by phone or email. If we find something else while working, we stop and ask.
How long does a diagnosis take?
Most diagnostics take 30–60 minutes. Complex electrical faults, intermittent faults and drivability complaints can take longer, because we test until we find the cause rather than replacing parts and hoping.
Do you work on all makes and models?
We service European, Asian and domestic vehicles, petrol and diesel. For very new models that need dealer-only software, we will tell you honestly that the dealer is the better route.
Can I bring my own parts?
You can, but the parts will not be covered by our warranty — only the labour will be. In practice our parts pricing is close enough to retail that most customers let us source them and keep the full warranty.
What warranty do you give?
12 months or 12,000 miles on parts and labour for repairs we carry out, whichever comes first. Wear items such as brake pads, tyres, wipers and fluids are excluded, as are faults caused by later outside work.
Do you offer a courtesy car or shuttle?
We run a local shuttle within five miles of the shop during working hours, and there is a waiting area with coffee and Wi-Fi if you prefer to stay. Long jobs can be arranged with a nearby rental desk.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, all major cards and bank transfer. For jobs over $1,500 we can split the payment between drop-off and collection — ask when you book.
Can you do the repair at my home?
No. Diagnostics and repairs are done in the shop, with the car on a lift and the right equipment. Roadside help is limited to jump starts and tyre changes.
Do you keep the old parts?
Yes — replaced parts are kept and shown to you at collection, unless you tell us in advance to dispose of them. If a warranty claim is ever needed, those parts are the evidence.
How do you handle a car that is not worth repairing?
We will say so. If the repair cost is close to or above the value of the car, we tell you plainly, put it in writing, and charge only for the diagnosis.
Is my car insured while it is with you?
The shop carries garage-keepers insurance and the building is alarmed and monitored. Please remove valuables and personal items before drop-off — we are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
No forms, no waiting
Car making a noise? Let’s look at it.
Call or write and tell us what the car is doing. We will tell you what it takes to look at it, how long it will be in the shop, and what it will cost — before you drive over.
